We are a private members’ club which is covenanted to the Chineham Village Hall registered charity. The club, in its present guise, has been in existence since the early 1980s and our main purpose is to provide a family-friendly social environment for the people of Chineham and its surrounding areas. We have two bars; the Sports Bar which shows all major sporting events on our big screen and on the bar’s smaller TVs. We also have pool and darts facilities and the club has two pool teams and a darts team. As well as the Sports Bar, we also have a quieter Lounge Bar which opens out onto the patio, children’s playground and playing field area. It also contains a large TV which shows selected key sports events. This bar is an ideal area for families.
We run a number of events throughout the year, including monthly bingo, quizzes, discos and some live music. We host occasional trips to race meetings and run a full festive programme for our members over the Xmas/New Year period. Throughout the year we also run events in support of our nominated charities, which are elected at our Annual General Meeting.
Our drinks are very reasonably priced and membership is paid for through an annual fee, with large reductions for senior citizens. Anyone who is interested in becoming a member is welcome to call in and have a look around prior to joining.
